Figaro’s to Honor Veterans and Active Service Members
With Free Breadsticks on 11-11-11
(Salem, OR)— Figaro’s Italian Pizza, Inc. (FIGARO’S) announced today that its participating restaurants will honor the nation’s veterans as well as currently serving members of the nation’s armed forces on Veteran’s Day, November 11th, from 11am to 4pm. During those hours, any current or former member of the U.S. armed forces will be provided a complimentary order of Figaro’s delicious breadsticks, with marinara dip sauce, upon request.
Figaro’s CEO Ron Berger said that the Figaro’s franchise owners and staff wanted to recognize the tremendous commitment and bravery of our servicemen and women in some way, which led to the decision to conduct this program.
Figaro’s is a longtime member of the International Franchise Association’s Vet-Fran program, which provides assistance and incentives to help returning veterans to open their own Figaro’s restaurant. Figaro’s also provides scholarships to returning veterans to further their education, and the Company is a strong supporter of the Help Veteran’s Own Franchises Act recently introduced in Congress by Representative Aaron Schock, R-Illinois, and Senator Bob Casey, D-Pennsylvania, as H.R. 2888 and S. 1540. The bill creates a tax credit to veterans purchasing a franchise and opening a business in their community.
Figaro’s restaurants are located in 9 U.S. States from coast to coast, as well as in three foreign countries. The company is based in Salem, Oregon.
